What was the first gun you ever used/fired/shot???
As the title says, what was your first ever gun that you shot???
Air pistol/rifle, small bore, revolver pistol shotgun bolt action whatever. How did you get on?
I shot my first air pistol when I was about 7, and I was crap with it, the side of a barn was way to small for me to have hit it. However I had wetted my appetite and my interest was awakened, enough to dictate how I spent any surplus cash that I was ever to have in my future, and also affect the choice of where I was to settle down.
But even all these years later the sheer exhilarating thrill of shooting that air pistol as a kid could not be equalled by the biggest guns that the Army let me shoot, 76mm and 120mm tank main armament.
Kid's you have to love them, guess some of us will never grow up.

as a kid, bb guns..
after that, my uncle 357mag ...
after that my issued sig500...
after that cap and balls..
after that... god only knows.. EBR's, semi auto pistols, etc etc !
Mauser M96 in 6.5x55mm. I was probably around 10 at the time. I had a huge smile on my face for days after that.

My dad's Marlin 22LR. He still has it but it doesn't work and it's missing the rear sight. I'd like to fix it up and use it again some day.
Lee Enfield training rifle in .22lr at age14 in the cadets. Qualified as marksman on Day 1

I had a go at that through the Sea cadets (TS Invincible) and was a failure, as in failed to hit anything, got upset and went home and shot a few sparrows with my air rifle to prove that it wasn't me......

Then .22 Anschütz in the local club at 16.
Then a SMLE the instructor brought along.

First rifle was a Remington .22 Target Master when I was about 10 years old started me on a path of shooting that I still pursue today almost forty years later and many many dozens of rifles shotguns and pistols later.
I still have that rifle, one day I will give it to my son's son hopefully to start him on the same path.
A .30-06, followed by a 12 gauge shooting 3" 000 buck. Everything else after that was easy.

I started off with my dad's red rider when I was about 7. I got in a lot of trouble shooting at things I wasnt supposed to with that. lol
My first live rife was at 10. it was my dads remington bolt action 22. I was hooked by then.
The first pistol I shot was an uncles sig p229 in 40 cal at age 14
My first MG was the M249 in the army all though the M2 50 cal is my favorite
My first time shooting a SMG was an MP40 with blanks when I was about 16 but first live fire was with a HK UMP in 2008 in iraq. I had shot a whole heck of a lot of full auto befor I ever shot my first SMG
I think it was my uncle's 30-06 when I was 10. That rifle taught me a very valuable lesson...always mount the rifle to your shoulder properly or you get knocked on your ass.

Pump action .22lr rimfire with iron sights (tube magazine below the barrel).
First real firearm I fired was an Ithaca double in 16ga. First rifle was a .22 bolt action in Boy Scouts. First handgun was a Colt SSA in .45 LC. First high powered rifle was a Winchester 94 and the first full auto was a Swedish K.
