Where Can A Tourist Go Shooting in Suisse/Schweiz/Svizzera/Svizra/Helvetica?

I'm going to be travelling through Switzerland in November between Geneva, Gruyeres, Interlaken and Zurich. Where can a foreigner in this beautiful country go to shoot at a range? Is it permissible under law? Can I rent a firearm at the range to shoot? Is there someone here who would take me (I'd happily pay for ammo, and of course return the favor in the States)?

All these questions and more. I speak French, and mangle German, so I could probably safely get by, but I need a bit of local help. ANyone?

Thanks in advance!

Im there (Geneva), and i'll be glad to take you to a range !

I can lend you all the guns I own, no problem. You'll save money renting guns..

I already took 2 americans ( http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=49&t=300818 ) and one finish guy at the range this year and i'll be glad to have you there as well !

Unfortunately, my usual federal range might be already closed in november (depends WHEN in november though.,. must check 1st), but we could certainly go to lausanne (to a public range open all year). We will have to pay for the range time, but that's not to bad. i'll bring friends along, so that you could try a HUGE number of different firearms beside swiss classics.

It's important that you tell me when exactly you'll be around for me to check the range availability-

Send me your email by IM !

Well, the answer is there.....we got together at the range north of Lausanne and had a great time! I can't thank my hosts enough and I'll certainly be back the next time. Probably this coming summer.

I will try to post a couple of photos, faces redacted, when I figure out how to get them off my camera.

Beautiful range, with the best target sliders I've ever seen, and a very good setup. Incredible collection of firearms....anyone wanting to invade Switzerland is nuts.

Thanks again!
