Can anyone help me identify this photo.
The back says it's from DuClaire, France.
I would very much like to discover if this house is till standing and if I can find a current photo.
Thank you

The town was a major US Army transit camp after D Day and on till after the War and was the location of one of the 'Cigarette Camps'…
Camp 20 Grand was sited at DuClaire

been looking into it. I checked the white pages, yellow pages, tourism offices, real estate offices, all kind of registries...even paintings ( seems that it was a good spot for painters back in the days..)
Duclair was a strategic point for the Allies on their way from Normandy to Paris, it was one of the only places where you could cross the Seine river.
Seems like there was a battle there : " la bataille de Duclair" between the Allies and the Nazis.
I'm contacting the city hall, let's see what they say...hopefully I'll get the info for the new owner if the house is still there..

Thank you so much for helping me with this effort ! ! ! ! ! !
I have gathered substantial information about the men in the photograph over the last few days.
The house is now the missing link to my research.
Let me know what you find! Thank you!!!
I well received your message.
I follow AR15FRANCE.
If I go to Duclair during vacation I try to found an adress.
See you.
