Need info on NM
I'm thinking about moveing out that way from Missouri . I have talked to the police department in the Farminton area and all of my certifacations will transfer. But what is the four corners area like, as far as crime , school, people, and so on thanks for any info.
The biggest difference for you will probably be the climate. We live in a high desert. There is nearly no humidity.
We get a whopping 12 inches of moisture on an average year!
I moved to Farmington about 12 years ago. I met my wife here, have two kids now, and have no desire to raise them anywhere else.
There are good schools, and there are bad. If you end up moving here or looking for a house send me an im and I will let you know the places to avoid.
If I was going to be a cop in this area it would be Farmington pd. If you went into the sheriffs dept you would have a large area to patrol. At times backup can be 30 minutes or more away. With Farmington pd that is not the case.
Farmington, like any other city has its problems. I do not think they would be that bad. DWI and drunks are about the worst thing you will have to deal with.
We are right on the edge of the navajo reservation. The rez is dry. That is a leading cause of your biggest two problems.
