Quail hunting

Quail opened on Tuesday and I went with a couple friends on Wednesday. We went to a pretty prime location down by Socorro but only busted a couple cuvies. I guess it is going to be a pretty bad year due to how dry it has been. Anyone else get out or planning on getting out?

I only ever see any when I'm at work at WSMR..... they're never around when I have a gun

Would love to go. But like you siad will probably be as bad as dove this year not sure if it will be worth it. If you want to go and dont mind brining an extra let me know.

It's funny, we saw WAY more dove than we did quail. We saw ateast 50-75 dove. Unfortunately, they aren't in season... :(

That is how most of my "hunting" trips have been. I always see what isnt in season. I have thought to start calling them "sitting in the wood with a big gun" trips but it is too hard to do.
