Shooting in Bald Knob this evening.

I spent the afternoon sending 147 gr FMJs into the berm at VETS shooting range in Bald Knob. I was there alone for most of the afternoon. The wind was just stiff enough to be annoying, but it subsided around 4 p.m. or so. I took my latest FNFAL build for a shake down cruise. The first round fired resulted in a stuck case with the rim ripped off. I had set the gas to full during another procedure last night and had forgotten to set it to mid range before firing the first round.
I had quite a few light primer strikes. I have never had the with any of my other FNs. I swapped lowers and this mitigated it, but I still had several after the swap. I am running an inch pattern bolt and I think that I may have used the wrong spring on the firing pin. I'll give that a look before my next range session.
Anyway, I had a great time turning gun powder into smoke and noise. I hope that you all had fun on the job.

Good shoot! 
I plan on adding some FN FALs to the stable later on.
