NWAR FFL's
So do any of you fellows have a preference for FFL/gun shops in the NW corner? Only one's I've stopped by to so far has been Ozark Armory and Ozark Sportsman Supply. Looking for a good, fair priced FFL that isn't against doing transfers from out of state. I haven't really stopped to speak with anyone at the shops for more than just a couple seconds, was mainly just looking to see what was around last time I stopped in.
i really like Arkansas outdoor suply in siloam springs. Scotty and his dad run the place. He is a member on here and always helped get things in from other ffls. they always have some ar's on the shelf and Scotty builds some great guns. They also always some AKs on the shelf. Nice shop and very friendly.
stuck
Cool, may have to swing out that way and see what they have. Didn't even realize there was a shop over there. (Don't go that way now that I don't work over there)
I am a big fan of Arkansas Outdoor Supply in Siloam Springs. I think Scotty does transfers for $20. He really is a good guy.
Yeap, Scottys place is great. He got me squared away with one of my AR-15 uppers on Saturday.
You know that one table you always look for at gunshows that has good people and treat you right? That's AOS..
If you are closer to Springdale, Stop by my shop. Big Jon's Gun and Pawn
Sounds like a plan, if the weathers good tomorrow, I will probably swing by a few shops. Springdale is definitely closer than Siloam, but both are doable.
I think AOS is closed on Sundays & Mondays...
Now THAT will suck...I work Tues thru Saturday...
If your farther north, GI guns and ammo in Rogers will do them. Also Crossbones llc in Bentonville can.
Good to know, heard of GI before but never Crossbones. Any info on them?

i would stay away from Gi guns. the guy across the street has had some problems with them selling his guns for him. i have never liked the feeling in there. every time i ask a ? there they dont know the answer. I was going to have them ship a rifle for me. the total for them shipping it came to $97.00

not worth the time. there a lot better stores around then theres
Another +1 for Steve at Big Jons. When I bought my lower from him last week he was great to deal with and had a few neat toys onthe wall.
As for Crossbones I was in there a few weeks ago to look at suppressors. I had called the Saturday before and they were supposed to call me back but didn't. When I went in Tuesday the guy was extremely nice but didn't know squat about pricing. I had to call back the next day to talk to another person who wasn't sure and could only give me a rough estimate. I had to talk to another guy about anything specific and I gave it two calls and one visit without getting ahold of him before I gave up. Also I didn't see a safe at all, everything was locked into a built in supply closet, that closet was in another room that had locking doors and then out to the main area.
They were all very nice and they did have a small selection of Magpull stuff. From what I could tell their main concern was ammunition. They had a deal set up where you did the labor to make your own ammo and then paid a reduced fee.
I tried to swing by GI today, but they had a sign saying they would be back tomorrow. I guess I won't rush to check them out.
I have used Steve several times for transfers and would use him again.
I have been in GI once right after they opened, but I haven't been back. They didn't do anything wrong, but they didn't have a big selection at the time and their prices weren't great. I also heard there was some issues with them with the Rogers Gun Club so that might play into it also.
