The pain in his voice was almost palpable. If I knew him personally, I would remind him that everything in her room belongs to him and his wife. She has no claim or right to any of it. I would remove every single item in her room, including the bedroom door, and leave only a bare mattress, drapes, and a single light bulb with no shade. She could have them back as she earned them, or they would remain in storage. If in storage long enough, they would be sold.

ETA: Her wardrobe would really suck for a long time too.

I like the way you think! Although, I'm sure some will disagree.

I'm sure all of you have seen this by now, but this guy was just offered $1,000,000 and his own TV Show by CBS.

He posted on his Facebook wall he turned down all offers for monetary gain from the video. Said it would hardly be good to show his daughter that you can act out and get rewarded for it in this way. Seems like he just wants it to go away, but its not.

I saw this yesterday in a thread in team. I say good on him for being a father to this kid. She sounds like a typical teenager, and no matter how much she resents being "a slave" now, there will come a day when she will look back and thank her parents for caring. Being a teenager is akin to having a temporary mental defect.

Looks like CPS and the Police paid him a visit.

The local PD said, "Kudos to you sir."

I've heard about this, but today was the first time I've seen the video. Gotta say, I laughed. But that kid's message pissed me off too.

Great video!

There is more to the story though. I guess a bunch of jackholes(my abbreviation for jackass assholes) thought they should turn in the dad.

It didn't turn out like they thought though!

edit: doh! I'm alway too late!
