i appreciate your spidey senses, but I am not affiliated in any way. I am in fact curious about them. I have been saving for close to a year for the purpose of taking some training. I was looking at going over to tactial respone, but Sigma would be closer and a little easier for me to work out logisticaly. However, I know the reputation of Tactical Response, but have just recently discovered Sigma 3 and dont know anything about them.

If you guys have any other suggestions for pistol or rifle training in AR I would love to hear about it. Also, any wilderness survival shools in AR. Thanks

If youre looking for pistol/rifle/tactical training, look up Darc in little rock.

They have a tactical urban survival course coming up in may. There's a thread about here in the htf.

This, but the TUSC is in March.

I'm sure they will have some pistol and carbine courses as well. Reviews are around but some of them may be in the archives. Short story: world class training and facilities.

Wilderness survival is something they dont do. Yet?

I skimmed over Sigma 3's website...

Busy and hard to follow came to mind.

Somebody up there should do some classes and give us some good AARs

Right on the mark, Stuck..

What kind are you looking for? I believe Arkansas has 2 or 3 people teaching "primitive" survival or bushcraft. I only know of DARC doing the urban course, and from what I hear, it ain't no walk in the woods, camping with weapons thing.......

I will have to watch this guy's videos tonight and see what he's all about. I, of course, volunteer to go down and take the course, and post an AAR about it......

The ARHTF has some pretty knowledgable people around it......if you can draw them out of the shadows.....

DARC uses < http://www.thehumanpath.com/human-path-instructors.htm >
Sam is the best primitive engineering/survival instructor I have ever seen.
If you're interested in something overseas, say in Costa Rica or Panama... maybe even in Africa - we've got affiliates that do some hardcore survival training in some cool places.

I've spoken to the founder/owner(?) of Sigma3 several times and they have all been very professional. If someone's done survival training with the outfit I would be really interested in their AAR. It would be awesome to have a good survival school so close.

1) I am planning on starting with some pistol classes first.... since I carry everyday and def could improve my skills
2) then interested in some wilderness survival training.... I spend lots of time outdoors and have lots of oppurtunity to put those skills to use
3) then move to some tactitcal carbine training

I will check out DARC as suggested, as you guys probably gathered I am a newb and not really in the loop about this kind of stuff.

Thanks

From personal experience, DARC has an absolutely bitchin' pistol course. Definitely bring something reliable, though, (and maybe a backup) as you'll be dumping about 4k rounds down the pipe over the course of three days.

I can personally vouch for all of DARC's civilian/open enrollment classes. You won't leave disappointed. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have.

I looked over Sigma 3's page on a real computer and its slightly better than the iphone version. But it sitll seems busy to me. Anyways. They've got some good stuff and some REALLY good pricing on classes. I wish it was closer to me. I may try to coordinate with some buddies next time they come through Ft Smith so I can work in a beer and sammich meetup to make it more worthwhile.

What is the TUSC class offered by DARC in March? I have not found any info about it on their webpage.

That looks like fun. I need to do some work on my skill set before I go that route. I hope to be able to participate in the future.
