Apparently three guys broke in through the back of the range. They stole 40 guns.

Fox news egde just a commercial about the robbery, and to stay tuned! I really wish that they would be a little more picky about the people the put in front of the camera.

5 NEWS said it was a burglery. Also, they are reporting that 2 guns have been recovered in a traffic stop...

I talked to Steve today. They took 39 guns, maybe some ammo. No suppressors were taken, seven guns were recovered in the parking lot: two walther .380 pks's, two j-frames, and a couple others.
The dog's foodbag was emptied as well as a couple of brass buckets and used to haul guns back out of the shop. The thieves were armed apparently ready to kill as Steve leaves the dog there most nights. They left a number of guns, so apparently they couldn't see what they missed or didn't care. They were rather indiscriminate about what they took, as there was a great deal more to grab.
They never set off the alarms, and Steve suspects he may have not had the motion detectors set. I expect he will in the future. He has not yet been visited by the insurance adjuster.
One guy has been caught and the other three's names are known. The one caught was a 19yr old Hispanic male. My surprised face:
I hope Geoff will be along to correct any details I got wrong.

I saw that they caught them on the news tonight. I bet they find the remaining few missing firearms soon enough. I hate this for Steve.

How dumb can one be? You would think that even the dumbest crook would know not to go to a TV station. There are cameras everywhere for cryin out loud!
