Saw a home job before, looked good, but not as good as this one. Wanted to try myself, what prep did you do?

Nothing really. The tube and upper were new and clean. Degreasing is a good idea. Tape the heck out of the glass, throw down a base coat, then play with it. You can paint over pine needles, stencils, leaves, or use masking tape to make lines, curves or other designs. Its low quality stuff. The spray paint rubs off so don't put a lot of effort into it.

No problem. I'd use an old mag or tape to fill the magwell, and go light on the buttons and safety. They'd can gum up.

Its really simple. When I painted mine a few months ago I had a whole other design in mind. What came out was no where close but it still looked great. Just remember its only paint. You can keep trying until you get it right. Good luck and post pics.
