Does anybody know the laws on buying/selling a long gun from Kansas to Missouri in a person to person sale? I know hand guns have to go through a FFL, I tried to search on line and got both answers, yes you can and you have to use an FFL for long guns. Went to ATF web site what a joke that was. Guy at the local gun shop said long gun sales are ok without an FFL. Does anybody really know?

No, it is illegal, doesn't matter what type of gun it is.

Federal law says that a non-FFL can only sell firearms to residents of their state.
