it is my understanding that Nebraska accepts my Iowa permit, is this correct?

I will be coming this summer with my sister, GF, BIL, niece, and nephew and visiting the omaha zoo and probably checking out a few other things.

a few things I need to be clear of are...

What are the restrictions on where I can not carry? (other than places with no guns signs such as the zoo)
Are parks off limits?
Is it legal to lock my pistol (glock 17) and mags (loaded with JHP) in a metal gunvault in my luggage, in the car, in the parking lot of a place such as the zoo with a no guns sign?

What are the laws concerning knives?
Can I carry my 2.5" fixed blade ka'bar TDI? what about my 3.25" Gerber assisted opener?
Does the no weapons sign apply to knives too?

What are the restrictions on where I can not carry? (other than places with no guns signs such as the zoo) Yes, bars, hospitals, schools, etc. See here: Statutes
Are parks off limits? If posted with a "No CCW" sign, yes. Assume all parks in Omaha as being posted.
Is it legal to lock my pistol (glock 17) and mags (loaded with JHP) in a metal gunvault in my luggage, in the car, in the parking lot of a place such as the zoo with a no guns sign? Yes, I would make sure it is out of plain view.
What are the laws concerning knives? It's illegal to conceal a "knife" in Nebraska.
Can I carry my 2.5" fixed blade ka'bar TDI? what about my 3.25" Gerber assisted opener? To be considered a "knife" in Nebraska, it must have a blade over 3.5 inches long. Your's would not be concidered "knives" and are fine to carry anywhere.
Does the no weapons sign apply to knives too? No, It applies only to those carrying a handgun under a CCW permit.
