In the mean time, how about a together picture and a range report?

Until that day,
Darkop

Haven't scoped it yet, however I did take it out and fire 5 rounds
Think I'm going to order an adjustable cheek piece for it, otherwise shoots nice
I'll post pics when I get the scope on it

So I googled up the rifle and am impressed! What chambering (s) are you going with. Seems like .338 Fed and .260 Rem would just about cover anything in AK. Did you go SBR on this rifle?

Any way you look at it, WELL DONE!

Until that day,
Darkop

Its chambered in 308
I dont see a need to SBR it, it fits nicely into a back pack as it is
Ill likely order another barrel soon, thinking 6.5 creedmor, but might go 260
Its built like a tank, so even though it looks trim and sexy, its pretty heavy

Finally got to the range with scope on rifle.....

Ton of grease in the bolt for some reason so I had light primer strikes resulting in about a 50% DNF rate. Man that pisses me off. Of course, I was in a hurry as the wife is on call and didnt grab my range bag with break cleaner, so ......
Decided that I would strip the bolt down and clean it when I got home, cant for the life of me get the bolt out of the bolt to strip (savage style bolt) Figure there must be some locktite in there. Takling it to Doug tomorrow, don't want to break it before I even get a chance to really play with it.
To top off the turn pie, my NF seems to have shit the bed. Doesnt seem like its adjusting at all. Fourtanely I have an extra, but still just tops of the day. On a bright note, I did however find out that NF has a lifetime warranty, so thats a positive.

I'm not familiar with Savage bolt groups. Let us know how this all plays out.

Until that day,

I'm in one of those long waits myself
Patience isn't my strong point
