 And then the work began...

So I get up at 7 a.m. to get ready for work, and the like. About a quarter to 8, I get a phone call from my buddy, Tony.

State Patrol gave him a call...and though Tony doesn't know anything about taking care of game, he's got a couple friends that do. Been a few years since I have, so me and him, basically did the grunt work while another bud quartered it out so we could take it home.

Couple hours later...

Once we got the ribcage/neck loaded and cleaned up the mess, we headed back to town. In about an hour, the real work begins.

Trying to think of the name, out towards Murphy Dome, IIRC. Not real good with the roads up here. Have spent most of the years up here, just going back and forth to work. I really need to do more driving around.

Ended up doing roasts and hamburger...alot of both. Figured the roasts could be steaked out, when necessary. Would have liked to hang it for a few days but, wasn't able to. Had some backstrap last night. Not bad. They were still cutting and such when I had to leave at around 8pm to go home and sleep.
