Of the food in anmc.

And the care.

Mom ordered reindeer soup and it smelled like .
Even the nurses said it was bad.
Mom was looking forward to it while she got some more blood.
Dad even said stuff was not being stocked in the cafeteria.

The MIL ordered eggs and toast with no mushrooms.
Guess what came with it and no toast.
Took them 20min to bring the toast and it was soggy.
Also the darn alarms keep going off on her iv's and they take forever to check on them.
She ended back up in icu because her heart rate went to 150 a min.
At least her kidneys are doing better everyday.

What the heck has happened since june to them?

Never been there, probly won't ever go either. Most hospital food is bad, regional is terrible, that I know.

Another reality check, food in this state for the most part sucks. Anchorage tries but still most places are hardly average and there is little to no consistency. It's a shame.

If one of us white people was run over in the parking lot, they would not allow us in the door!!

They had pretty good food before but it sounds like they went to hell.

But the server/cook should have been able to smell the soup was bad.
It was that obvious.

ANC has some good restaurants.
Just can't remember their names.

dude that sucks, I had a quality sandwich when I was in the Kenai ER. The nurse was like "oh hey before you leave you have been here since 1130, do you want some food(it was 7 pm), we have samiches" The ham and cheese samich was pretty good, the water was awesome.

I was too groggy to ask if made by hottie nurses. I didnt get one a hottie nurse, I had a dude , and ugly old male EMT's. WTF!!! I saw some of the other EMT's down there I need to go get hurt again

They had gotten better but it looks like they have slipped.

I have told the wife if i ever have to be admitted i will buy my own ticket to ANC rather than be in the hospital out here.

I gotta learn to multi quote.

No the VA is, ANMC is head and shoulders above the VA.

The care my family has received has always been great the food has gone down hill though. The food 4 years ago when my son was born was good then they changed contractors and it wasn't very good 2 years ago when my daughter was born. I really think they got a crap contractor for food service.

When my 2 yo daughter got real sick and I had to take her the the ER a hot paramedic kept coming in to check on us giving my daughter stickers etc. Evidently females can tell when another female is trying to make a move, my daughter would go from smiling to mad-dogging the paramedic as soon as the curtain started to move.
