Law Enforcement shooting in Rapid City today. One officer dead, two wounded. Suspect in custody.

They still haven't released the name of the third officer shot, there's a guy on the force I used to work with. I haven't seen him around for a while, but that don't mean anything. He's a good kid and I pray he's not the unnamed third officer involved.

This shooting came about during a subject stop of 4 people. Apparantly, none of the officers were able to call for help due to wounds (not confirmed). Bystanders aided fallen officers till units arrived.

Bismarck had their first KIA a month ago. Sad stuff, my thoughts and prayers to those affected. :(
Our suspect looked healthy (more or less) in the released mugshot, looked a lot worse in court.... Someone beat the stuffing out of him.... Not complaining, though. In fact, if it were an inmate, I say said inmate should get early release for meritorious conduct!!
