He still voted for the interests of his party and not that of his state. This was the undoing for pomeroy as well and many other politicians. They need to remember that we vote them in not their parties. This should be a lesson to all political figures. They are suppose to be the voice of the people and not the party.

Those are the democratic talking points. He voted right along with the rest of his party.

He could see the writing on the wall. He went along with Obama and destroyed his career.

Herseth wasn't that bad here either and got an NRA endorsement at the last election that she lost. A commie's a commie no matter how you cut it. I also figured out the NRA is a bunch of fucking morons with the way they treated me when I got after them about this crap. They called a few weeks ago trying to hit me up for cash and I told them to shove my life membership up their collective, single-issue asses. I won't give them another cent.

He was on the Senate finance committee. He's about as far from being fiscally responsible as you could get!

He brought lot's of 'pork' to ND but since when is that really such a good thing??

its a great thing if you are a North Dakotan, not so great otherwise...

hes not the best politician, and I am glad that we will get to put someone more conservative in the office, but still, I would hardly consider him in the ranks of Nancy Pelosi.

and remember all that pork was a politician delivering on his promises.

Hardly. Milwaukee has voted in 12 Socialist mayors during the last 100 years...

have they ever had a successful socialist party in the state/ do they have a state bank, grain mill and elevator?

the NPL used to run this state, not just a city.

Lieberman is quitting too. Hopefully Johnson just goes away as well.
