Threats to Livonia Public Schools and Surrounding Districts. Anyone have any info?

We received a letter today from Donna McDowell, she is the Livonia School District Communications Administrator. She stated that yesterday at appx 0930 am a threat was called into one of the Elementary schools, and it was also made to the surrounding 4 districts as well.

She gave zero info on the threat.

She did say that the Livonia PD was contacted and that they are "implementing additional safety standards" one of which is holding recess inside and "posting additional staff at key entrances".

Does anyone here know any additional info on this? I have 3 children in Livonia schools. I can not rely on the PD or the Schools to protect them, and I do not like how nondescript the letter was.

I have sent her an email requesting more info. I will pass along her response...I am seeking the info through all available sources.

Anyone hear anything in Livonia, Redford, Plymount, Farmington Hills or Westland?

A couple elementary schools in Farmington Hills had police on site for some kind of threat. I believe I heard on the news it had to do with the Martin/Zimmerman deal in FL.

Phone calls were made, with a racial tone, that their was going to be mass killings at the schools of white children by members of black gangs. This is inside information that was relayed to me through one third party person, from one of the actual people who received a call. Take it for what it is worth, but the police presence at all the schools tells me that the information was true.

Its just as likely it was a white person making the claim. People are stupid.

That is scary for you Chris, my wife works at an elementary school in Flint and they have been having a lot of problems with gang activity in the last month. They have gang guys showing up when its time to release the kids. Some of the gang people have kids going there but this is abnormal, 6 guys dressed in all red.
