I am building a precision rifle that I would like to be able to shoot out to 800-600 yards. Are there any ranges in South East Mich that can accommodate? I really appreciate and enjoy the feedback on this site. Just looking for more advice from our informed community
Thanks

My issue was finding an outdoor range that doesn't require sponsorship, outrageous dues and/or mandatory "volunteer" work.

The only one I found was the one my buddy already had: Blue Water Sportsman Association (BWSA). Depending on your definition of "SE" Michigan, it may or may not fit...it's near Port Huron.

They have a 100 and 200 yard range (200 requires being checked out by an RSO), and on certain dates they open up the 200 to 600.

I don't know of any always-open 600+ yard ranges, but I also don't shoot long range, so that wasn't on my radar.

Blue Water Sportsman's Association

Washtenaw Sportsman's Club

If you want 800 -1000 yards, you'll have to drive for it. 2012 Schedule at the Events button at the top.

You might try Camp Perry in Ohio, I hear it is possible to reserve their range, but you have to book in advance. If you can get it though it's 1,000 yards.
