Ok, after numerous unanswered emails and calls, and some outrageous financial quotes.... I finally got 2 ranges to agree to a suppressor demo at a reasonable price.

#1
Location: Twin Lake, MI

Northwest Shooters Supply Range
Date:FEB 11 (weather permitting)
Time:11am-1pm
Cost: FREE
Demo Content: Rifles & Pistols, Rimfire and Centerfire (Supersonic and Subsonic)
After the demo, you can shoot your own weapons at this 200 yrd range, for a $10/hr per person fee. (throw a little business his their way as well)

#2
Location: Holland, MI

TCRGC Indoor Range
Date: March 3rd
Time: 1pm-4pm (aprox.)
Cost: $5
Demo Content: Show and tell/handling of the Rifle stuff, and shooting demos of the rimfire/centerfire pistol stuff
The club is charging $5 per person for non-members (something about their insurance forms, etc...)

They do have an indoor rifle range, but the room is only 4 booths wide x about 8' deep, and I am not sure how many will come and/or fit in there at one time. (I am mostly planning on a show and tell/handle of the Rifle stuff, and shooting demos of the rimfire/centerfire pistol stuff)

At both locations I plan on giving a short presentation beforehand on ownership process, super vs. subsonic, attachments, threading, concentricity, pricing, etc....

So you should come away with a pretty good working knowledge of what they are, how they sound, and why you "need" one

Let me know if you think you might be coming, and to which one, so I can plan numbers accordingly.

Thanks,
Mike

Email me if you have any questions, thanks.

If you can't make these, or you just have to see some suppressors before then.
You can conact me at anytime to schedule a personal demo around the Grand Haven area. Just email me

I'll have to check my work schedule, but I'm tentatively interested in the Holland one on Mar. 4.

Just curious, but what other W. MI ranges have you contacted?

I just checked and the actual date is SATURDAY, MARCH 3

In my flurry of emails back and forth neither I, nor the range noticed we we're talking about a date that didn't exist [Saturday the 4th.....]

I will try to make it to the Twin Lake demo. Might bring a friend too.

Having never been to a demo before and not knowing anyone who has, what takes place?

Is it just showing/talking about various suppressors and you firing them (live youtube, for lack of a better example), or do attendees actually get to try some of the suppressed firearms?

Sorry, I didn't see this post, or get an email notification.

Yes, actually firing the suppressors, plus some handling so you can see how heavy/light they are.
Trigger time, will depend on how many people show up, and how much ammo I have

I can say for sure, you should be able to get some time behind the .22 and .223 for sure. (unless 100+ people show up)

Some of my customers are coming too, and will be shooting their cans, they MAY be willing to let you fire a few rounds with them, but I can't say that for sure. (new toys to them an all, ya know)

Hope to see you there! It is Tomorrow, the weather shouldn't give us too much of a problem

Mike

A big thank you goes out to Mike for putting on this demo. The demo was very educational and answered the questions I had about suppressors.
