Self-Reliance Expo in SLC UT next month.

Brothers-In-Arms:
I am going to be out in your beautiful state next month for the Self-Reliance Expo in Salt Lake City UT. This is going to coincide with my 25th wedding anniversary so I am interested in recommendations for better restaurants (and gun shops
). We are not too picky. We like Chinese and Japanese, but are not adverse to trying something different. Any help/recommendations would be appreciated.

It will be a beautiful time of year to be here.
Food
One of our family's favorite Chinese places is called Szechwan Chinese Kitchen, and it is near Park City. (Not too close to the resorts, so the prices are very good.)

I can also highly recommend the Tarahumara in Midway. This place has some amazing Mexican food. For me the best part is their salsa bar, which has a wide variety of salsas, including the tastiest mango salsa you will ever have.
These places are both in mountainous areas and the fall leaves should be great in a couple weeks.
For Tarahumara I can suggest driving up Big Cottonwood Canyon and then over the beautiful Guardsman's Pass where you should see lot's of deer and moose. The pass drops down right into Midway.
A place my wife and I enjoy for a romantic evening with excellent food is TRIO. the Cottonwood location is pretty close to where the expo will be.
I am looking forward to the expo, looks like it will be great.
Gun Stores
Get Some is a short jog along the freeway from the Expo Center. Great range, good selection on Class 3, high prices.
