I just moved into the South Jordan area and I was looking for a place to shoot. I saw "Get Some" under the UT range list and was wondering what the reviews were on this place. Thanks for the opinions!

Decent enough range if you don't buy ammo there. Its my primary indoor shooting spot.

$12 for pistol, $15 for rifle.

Prices on firearms, accessories, ammo, etc are not competitive.

There's a Sportsman's Warehouse nearby with better prices.

Doug's on Redwood is $8. Range is noisy, but prices on most stuff are better. Counter staff seem to be more helpful.

I will go there a few times in the really cold months to get in some shooting. Avoid Saturdays as they are way too busy.

They also have a .50 people can rent to shoot. I will step out when it is being shot because it is way too loud for such a small space.

It seems to get really mixed reviews. I've never had anything but good service there, and neither has anyone that I know personally. But, the Interwebz is full of people who say they were treated badly.

My only guess is that if you act like a douche, they treat you like a douche - but if you act respectable, they treat you respectably.

The place has a good, clean range, with good ventilation. It makes Doug's range look like the awful hole in the ground that it is. But, it's certainly not a cheap range to shoot at.

They rent FA toys, so you always have to be ready. Once, I was so focused on my shooting that I didn't notice that the gun the guy was setting up to my left was... an M60. When he opened up and fired the whole belt, I was glad that I had plugs AND muffs.

I was looking for a front sight for my AR, they only had a different color than what I needed so I said thanks I'll just get it online, the guy insisted I just spray paint it black I went to Doug's, the guys there are very friendly and their range isn't bad at all.

My experience there is hit and miss. Depends on who is behind the counter. I always get great service from Stu.

Generally speaking, any time I've ever gone there I've known precisely what I was looking for. Apparently, looking for specific parts/firearms and using appropriate diction/nomenclature is grounds for getting the shit treatment, especially if you decline whatever non-comparable rubbish they offer.
