I need to find a shop in the Beaverton area that can take care of a very small metalworking project for me. I lost one of the two stainless steel rods that slides through the latches on my travel guncase. The stainless rod is ~5/16" dia and about 18" long with a right-angle and v-bend on one end to fit underneath a padlock. I have the other rod that can be used as a mirror-image pattern. I've looked for replacement parts online but had no luck.
So, like I said, simple project, just need to find someone who can make this for me without charging an arm and a leg. Any ideas?
Thanks
edit to correct dimensions.
It is 18" in length, 5/16" dia. Edit for clarity

: this picture is of the other rod, and the "v" bend on the tag end needs to be inverted from what is shown in the picture.

Thanks for looking.
I will take a look in the shop tomorrow. Hopefully I can scrounge something up for you.
Alright, I scrounged up a 21" piece of 5/16" 316ss rod.
Only way I have to bend it is in a vice with a hammer though

lol. Well, we're closer than we were...
