Looking for a local place to buy some Wolf

I've been thinking, and it's probably a better idea to shoot more before I decide what kind of setup I want on my rifle, so I was wondering if any shops in the Portland/Gresham area carry Wolf .223 so I could pick up a couple boxes to make sure it works well in my rifle before I buy a whole case of 1000.

Being that BiMart has brass cased ammo on sale for $5.99 a box I don't know why one would want to run Wolf.

I can save about $100 for every 1k rounds, and then I get to shoot more.

This. I shoot the hell out of the stuff. Only draw back was shooting suppressed but I fixed that with a gas buster and some shooting glasses. Not exactly local but Cabelas is just down the road. I have bought thousands of rounds of Wolf with my Cabelas points alone.

In my persinal exsperience, with the metal cased rifle casing its not good. first off it seems be hard on feed ramps as my other AR I had to keep fixing ramp seemed to scratch hell out of it but it was a pretty bottom line gun. Seems like pretty dirty powder, at times under loaded, not all that consistant cycling ammo in my old AR. If you look around you can get good brass cased ammo on the cheap somtimes just as cheap plus you can save them up and reload if you really wanna save some cash. On the other hand the handgun ammo seems ok in my beretta but I perfer quality over quantity plus seems to me that wolf,tul-ammo is less acurate. just my opinion I could be wrong!

PSA has xm193 for $5.49. Buy 50 and it's still less than $6.00 shipped

The Wolf is like 4 bucks a box when you buy in bulk, so you get ~3k rounds for the price of ~2k rounds of brass.

Try Keith's Sporting Goods. They might have a couple boxes.

Been picking up the XM193 at Bi-Mart when I can, pretty good stuff and I do like it.

The steel cased Wolf is not bad either, just never seemed as accurate, but have run thousands of rounds of it through many different guns and am pretty convinced that if your gun doesn't run Wolf, there is something not right with the gun. Had about 5,000 rounds through one of the ole Bushmaster A2s without cleaning, the last about 3,200 round had been Wolf, but the green and gray cased stuff. gun was dirty and sluggish, but was still running.

I'm not overly concerned with accuracy, I probably have less than $800 in this gun. I just want to shoot a lot and no go broke.

$12.00 for 1,000 rounds shipped. Can't beat that with a stick.

That would still be about $275/1k before shipping, and the steel case Wolf is $190/1k.
