Hello Oregonians.
I actually was born and raised in Keizer until I was 14 but I haven't been back for many years. I will be travelling through Oregon this week on the way to my wife's parent's house in Olympia, WA. I will be bringing some guns with me to target shoot once in WA.
Are there any weird laws I need to worry about while transporting my guns? I will have with me a handgun and a couple black rifles.
If you don't have an Oregon CHL, don't carry a handgun concealed . Plain view or locked away. Oh and 10 round Komifornia mags are illegal, they must be full capacity for your black rifles

State laws allow open carry of loaded firearms. Obviously, no CHL means don't conceal a handgun. Some cities (mostly the bigger cities) have city ordinances that ban the possession of loaded handguns while in city limits, with the exception of LE and valid CHL holders.

Yup. Keep them unloaded and you will have no issues state wide.
Load at your own risk. I believe the cities with bans on loaded firearms are Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Oregon City, Salem, and Independence (maybe more). If you don't pass through any of these towns, feel free to OC.
