Gun Show 11/27 in Portland
Does anyone know if there is a gun show at Jackson Armory on Sunday the 27th?
Thanks.
Didnt know anything about it.
Any good?
Probably a great place to pay exorbitant parking fees, high show entry fee to find some beanie babies, cheap jewelry, used video tapes, jerky, flea market items, and maybe a few overpriced firearms related items. I realize this posting is done after the show, but I doubt there has been any significant change to keep the non-firearm/knife items out in the past few years.
I'll admit that I am a bit jaded about the downturn in gun show quality though. I wouldn't mind paying the high fees to get in if all items not related to firearms/knife were kept out.
High vendor prices are a reflection of their charging what they think the marked will bear. That is capitalism, and I have no problem with that. I can usually find things cheaper even if I do have to pay shipping though. In the true capitalist fashion, people who attend will let vendors know whether the prices are realistic or not by whether they buy or not. If someone wants to overpay for something, that is of course their right.

Actually that show iirc is $5 and no parking fee. Just a small show but can turn up some neat stuff as most of the folks there dont have tables at the bigger shows.
The ones that were at the National Guard armory on N.E. 33rd are OK as they didn't use to charge for parking. The show in Canby has never charged for parking IIRC. My main complaint is with the shows at the expo center.

Agreed.
I dont go any more unless I get a pass from a friend to get through the doors.
Parking is bad enough. Parking and admission, F that.
The Gunshow at the Expo is simply outrageous in terms of admission, parking and shit food prices.
We need something like the WAC... for Oregon.
