CHL renewal question

So I'm coming up on my CHL expiration soon. How far in advance can you renew? It takes about 30 days to process, right?

According to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office website, they want you to make an appointment to renew your CHL two months before your expiration date. You also WILL NOT need to bring an application form to renew your CHL. It doesn't say anything about cost, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is one, if only to run you through LEDS/NCIC again.

In Yamhill county you can renew when you have 30 days or less to expire. I just renewed mine for a $50 fee. I had to fill out a renewal app. and take a new pic. They gave me a temporary that expired in 45 days,but my new permit came in six days.

I renewed mine in Washington County last Wednesday. Received the new one in the mail on Friday - two days later.

Marion County told me I had to wait till I received a renewal notice in the mail before they'd even schedule a appointment.

Washington County asked me if I wanted to renew 5 months early since I told them I was working out of town.
