The Noveske Shooting Team has had several requests to hold a class on the "how to's" of 3 gun/multi gun. After some discussion, and following on the heels of their released "3 Gun Outlaw" instructional DVD, the team will hold 4 -5 classes throughout the USA.
This class announcement is for the Sept 3-4 , 2011 course held in Medford, OR. The Oct Portland, OR class is full, so this September date will be the only other time this year we will be out on the west coast except for Multi Gun Nationals.
14 spots offered, first come, first served. We have about 7-8 spots filled already as of this posting.
About the class itself:
The Noveske Shooting Team 3 Gun Training class is unlike any other program currently taught. This course was developed entirely by Jansen Jones and Rob Romero as an interactive class to improve a shooters match performance and enhance their match finishes at multi gun as well as rifle and shotgun matches. The class was founded on the concept that it would be a class we would want to take ourselves. Through the use of our unique micro block curriculum and instant video feedback, students will see improvement before the end of the first day.
The class will cover all of the topics addressed in the NST 3 Gun Outlaw DVD released in Jan 2011 and much more, for a preview of their 3 gun DVD see the link below:
We expect each participant to treat the class like a match; the class will be broken down into mini stages, micro blocks of instruction focusing on key 3 gun concepts (shotgun reloading, barricade/port shooting, stage breakdown etc.), a man versus man shoot off session and even an actual prize table thanks to our sponsors Noveske Rifleworks, Schmidt- Bender, Benelli USA, Troy Ind, Nighthawk Custom, Hornady, MAGPUL and more! Your paying for a class that costs as much as a major match and our goal is to provide the student with as much of a match experience as possible all while improving your 3 gun game. This class is for the novice to intermediate level student and will offer a focused instruction on skills, strategies, and stages of 3 Gun Competition. Immediate action drills, unconventional shooting techniques and barricades are all discussed in depth. Steel, paper, flippers, texas stars and plates are all engaged at contact distance out to 100 yards.
Students are expected to arrive with rifle zero known at 100 yards, as well as point of aim/point of impact at 5, 25 and 50 yards.

No suppressors? I pretty much consider my can part of my rifle now.
Oh well, my shotgun is not suitable for 3 gun matches anyways.

They won't register on the shot timer most of the time. It's a 3Gun clinic not a Low Speed / High Drag class for tactical wannabees. :)
Sounds pretty interesting. Do you know where there is a list of gun requirements and modifications?

Ah, that makes sense then. If it screws up timing equipment, that is a valid reason.
If they wanted a crowd that wasn't decked out with tacticool goodies, they are advertising this event on the wrong forum. Even still, I consider cans to be safety equipment, not scary evil assassin tools.

Who called them scary evil assassin tools? Not me....your inferring something that's not there.
First of all our equipment list is geared toward competition only thats all . We have nothing against those items listed under the "do not bring" list they just don't fit the bill for the kind of shooting we do. I've been a mod in AR tech on arfcom for awhile now, so I know exactly what kind of forum this is . Arfcom is holding a dedicated 3 gun event (the arfcom pro am three gun) in our backyard so I think the site is committed to the sport which is growing by leaps and bounds. More so than any other shooting sport that's for certain.
I am hoping to keep this thread on topic, relevant to our class, not a discussion on whether this is the right forum for the class. If you want to discuss the merits of our equipment list further please free to email me and I'll be happy to address them.
Just a heads up. There's a 3 gun match at Douglas Ridge tomorrow, June 19th.
BTT, class is filling up, we still have some spots. Hope to see you there. Feel free to message me via this site if you have any questions about the class. Rob and I have already spoken to several people who have signed up and were looking forward to coming back to OR.
Thanks !
BTT, still some spots left.
