OK, so I don't know if this is the right place to post this...but I was wondering if anyone here knows of good dealers that are not in Eugene. I was thinking specifically of the Portland area. I know this isn't an AR topic, but at the moment I am searching for a Mauser P08 Luger pistol (specifically one produced from 1938-through WWII) in a shooter quality. I have spoken to the dealers in Eugene but they rarely see them. So, I was thinking of branching out and contacting other dealers in the state (specifically along the I5 corridor). I was thinking that the Portland area probably has lots of dealers and that I could make a few calls and see what I come up with.

So, does anyone know of any dealers who I could contact about this. Also, if someone could give me their information (phone number or something...a PM is the best way) if you know anything about them. Thanks!

Call Keith's Sporting Goods and let him know what you are looking for. Make sure you talk to Keith himself. 503-492-6999

Sometimes you can find them at ogallerie auction in Portland.
click this
They dont have a firearms section to the catalog, but you can search by manufacturer.
They don't have any this month, but I would check every month if you aren't in a hurry.

RichieB16,

How long have you been collecting Lugers? Finding a Luger in a shop is a rarity and I would bet you will be hard pressed to do so. I have many friends that collect lugers and have seen them go from a few here and there to virtually zero. Most shooters these days are parts guns and any matching wartime gun in decent shape wont be considered a shooter. The last ones we had in our shop in Hood River were commercial lugers. Not somthing you would want ot be shooter if you valued your $$.

IMHO you will have better luck at the local gunshows or online. If you can hold out until the sept gunshow in PDX there are a few guys there I can introduce you too that may be able to track down a shooter for you.

That would be a post war commercial luger.

Nice piece.

As for the BLURRED pictures, looks like you were just too close for the lens to focus.
Or get Mr. M-60 to come over and take the pictures for you . . . . . .

This isn't much help but it may create a lead. There is a guy that goes to all the Collectors West Gun Shows. He has a pretty big set up and usually has three or four Lugers. He had at least one from WWII at the last Grants Pass gun show.

I think it is Jerry Schwier of Past Tenths Sports.

I bought a nice over/under from him and maybe something else. He has been very helpful and I enjoyed dealing with him.
