This is a basic recipe and a good starting point.

Vary the ingredients to suite your personal tastes.

6 1/2 fluid ounces water
1 1/2 tablespoons ketchup

1 dash Sriracha Rooster Hot Chili Sauce

Nothing besides liberals, democrats, and stupid people pisses me off more than going to a Japanese restaurant only to find out they do not have white sauce. I've even called in advance before going just to make sure they have it.

Interesting... not sure I've had this 'white sauce' you speak of.

Google it and there are tons of recipes.

I have tried a few of them...I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or what but it never tastes the same.

Is that the slightly pinkish sauce they give you at hibachi type houses? That stuff is beyond awesome.

That's it but I much prefer the ginger sauce.

The "shrimp sauce" is made for kids, chicks and sissies

Phew. For a minute there I thought I was the only one that didn't hold it in such high regard- I sort of liked it the first time I had it, but by meal number three......

The best part of any meal at a Japanese steakhouse? The carrots!

I owe a lot to this sauce. My wife hates sushi, but loves hibachi mainly because of this condiment. So we head out Japanese a lot more often now.

Speaking of . . .

I ♥ pickled ginger.

I must have it with sushi and sashimi.

A slice of tuna, a glob of wasdabi, and a some slivers of pickled ginger and
