Got a blemished rainier xtc awhile back because for the price I couldn't say no to giving it a shot. Anyways my buddy would always do it with his block/wrench/etc ended up moving awhile back and I don't have the tools to do it. I was able to wrench off the A2 but xtc is gonna require a lot more force to orient it correctly.

Thanks.

I have a shim set that comes with PWS comps. It shouldn't take any more torque than any other comp. Use less torque and some rocksett.

Hows it index when hand tight with a crush washer?

hand tightened it still needs about 3/4'ths a full rotation

I don't know much about crush washers because I don't use them with my mounts. That sounds like too much.

You are welcome to a package of shims. They are .005 and .002 so you can time it just right. I usually shoot for about 9 or 10 o'clock and then torque it.

It definitely looked like too much to me with the washer they sent. Hand tightening it without anything gets me about 50% to the correct timing. I always thought you were supposed to use crush washers if you weren't using a suppressor mount. My SBR has a blackout 51t, so I didn't have to use either.

Where exactly are you located or would you mind throwing them in an envelope for me?
