I believe the price will be the same weather you get it directly from Glock, or from Smyrna Police Dist.

Law Enforcement and Correction Officers, Cadets, and Agencies
Licensed Security Officers or Agencies
Military Personnel-active duty, retired, and reserve
EMS Personnel
Fire Personnel
TSA Personnel
Commercial Pilots

If you are any of these, you can buy Glocks at the police discount.

+1
Ed's Pawn in Stockbridge is where I went. I had heard stories of different dealers basically making up the rules as they saw fit, and eventually a lot of people started getting a hold of Glock themselves to try to get them on the case of these dealers who didn't want to play ball.

Ed's Pawn was totally cool, I would definitely recommend them if your gonna take advantage of the discount.

Even though I don't really keep any of my EMS credentials with me anymore, since I'm not currently employed by anyone while i'm in school. All I had was my New York EMT license which is dated 9/7/01- (Literally my first day as an EMT, still in High School... rough first week) and my med reserve corp card which indicates either an active or 'retired' EMS provider working under the DHS, a couple signatures later and I was good to go.

Blatantly cut and pasted from GT where I first heard about the deal:

Well it's now March 2008 and the military/homeland security discount is still going strong after three years! Thanks to GLOCK for rewarding America's heroes! To get the REAL DISCOUNT and not get lied to from local dealers CLAIMING to be Law Enforcement dealers (only L.E. dealers can or will sell at the super discount price) call GLOCK in Smyrna, GA at 770-432-1202. There are very few L.E. dealers in each state so you may have to travel some or order directly from GLOCK and have the gun delivered to your local FFL. Below is my original post from 2005.

I noticed in the new 2005 Glock Autopistols magazine (page 19) that Glock is offering discounted Glock pistols (entire Glock lineup) to active duty and reserve military personnel. The only trick is that you have to buy from a "Glock Law Enforcement Dealer." I would imagine that these will be the blue label guns that were formerly only sold to Law Enforcement (with a dept. letter) at a steep discount (about $100 less than normal sticker price). Get 'em while this deal lasts, guys! If you have bought one with the discount please post details about what model you got and where.
Kudos to Glock for this program.

***************EDITED TO ADD*******************
Glocktalk Member "Blitzer" reports:
"I just spoke with Doug at GLOCK’s Military/LEO/EMT sales department. If you have an ID card identifying you as a retired, disabled or active duty Military/LEO/EMT you qualify for the discount though your LEO dealers!"

************************************************
Glocktalk member "TED" reports:
"I don't know if someone mentioned this or not but the program has been expanded to include most public safety employees, for example, firefighters, EMT's, EMS, Paramedics and more."

***********************************************
Glocktalk member "AggiePhil" reports:
"I just called GLOCK at (770) 432-1202 and found out that EMS personnel are in fact being offered the $100 off Military/LE discount. The Customer Service rep whom I spoke with said "it falls under Homeland Security", whatever that means. He was then able to provide me with a list of GLOCK Law Enforcement Dealers in my state. I called one up and he said I just needed to bring my EMT certification card with me to buy it."

Also don't forget that Sig also has come out with a similar program, although I don't think its quite as good a deal as Glock has gong. The Glock discount is quite substantial from what I remember.

I think it's $399 with 3 high cap mags on 9's and 40's, not sure about 45's, gap's, .

Yep, $398 + $10 shipping and it also includes certified Glock armourers. The deal is you can either get it direct from a genuine Glock L.E. distributor or you can order direct from Glock and have it shipped to your local FFL for transfer, who will likely charge some fee for doing that but considering that price is over $50 below normal FFL cost it's pretty damn good. If the gun goes direct to an agency the price is lower even because there's know FET (Federal Excise Tax) but this is a bigger deal for some PD's than others that don't want to deal with the logistics of ordering guns direct and distributing them in-house.

What about GSSF members ??

Sorry, no mention was made about this extending to GSSF members when I renewed my Glock armourer's cert. In six years and this being my third time renewing, it was the first time they had ever mentioned inclusion of Glock armouerers under the program. There's a sheet that has all the prices out there somewhere. If you call Glock and ask about that program and you're eligible you can probably get a copy of it.

If you're close to Rossville, GA you can buy them over the counter at GT Distributors for $398.
