Howdy, Carolinians,
As detailed
here, my F-150 has acquired a moderate case of the dreaded
jank. To address this jankiness will require the services of a mechanic. Rather than default to the dealership, I thought I'd come here and see if you fellows might be able to recommend me a good mechanic that's not too far from North Raleigh.
Most likely U Joints, but crawl under there with a grease gun and a rag. Wipe off all the zerk fittings and pump some grease in there.
Always consult the repair/maintenance manual of your motorcycle/car/truck/girlfriend/wife. Follow the suggested maintenance intervals on your truck, bike, guns, or car.
Toss the advice on the GF and wife.
YMMV.
I've been riding 2 wheelers since before I was able to write. I've rode more than my share of 2 leggers.

I lack the tools, and my apartment complex prohibits working on cars on their property. If it's not something that's going to cause me to die, I could wait until the next time I visit my folks, but they live like 900 miles away.

Hahah!

The only person I let look at any car, truck or bike I own.
I google maps'd around and found a Bojangles at the junction of NC42 and I-40 southeast of Raleigh. There's a mechanic near there called "Carfix" that's got 5 stars according to google. Is that the one?
