The Yorktown is worth the tour. Hell, the whole Patriots point is pretty decent. Gets hotter than hell in the sub during summer. The Aquarium isn't half bad if you have little ones. Fort Sumter is awesome as well. Lots of good seafood.

Carriage tours. You learn a lot of neat history.

It was on a carriage tour that I learned John C. Calhoun was buried three times.

The gun shops I would visit are:

Carolina Rod and Gun- West Ashley (lots of higher end hunting guns like benelli, beretta OUs, browning OUs, Italian OUs)
Traders World- North Charleston (they have an indoor range, and decent selection of used guns, mostly shotguns)
Coastal Firearms -Charleston (they have nfa stuff, cigars which you can smoke inside while you shop, police trade ins, and cool high end stuff)
ATP - Summerville (high prices, but largest selection. indoor range and nfa stuff)
East Coast Guns- Summerville (didnt have a huge selection when I checked them out, but they were a new shop then. very friendly staff)

Chas. has a lot of great restaurants and some nice hotels. Walking around downtown is nice especially the battery

classy but pricey Charleston Place
The first floor of the hotel has shops in it, close to meeting & king where alot of the tourists go in Chas. Very close to the old slave market

My fav. place to eat is Jestine's Kitchen. Real SOUL FOOD! Closed on Monday & come hungry. yummy

great Italian: Bocci's

hand rolled cigars on Wentworth Stogies
