Well after a little waiting my Form 4 for my new Osprey 45 finally came back.
I just looked and From the time it arrived at the WV office on 11/02/11 until it was put back in Bret's hands with a stamp one 05/09/12 was 189 days... This is interesting because exactly one year ago, on 5/9/11 I had another stamp show up at Bret's door for a different can, The wait time on it? 98 days.
Anyway since I know this is what you all really want to see anyway:

Nice my osprey just came in on a form 3 two weeks ago. My wait just started...
Gives me time to buy threaded barrels for my pistols though!

Threaded barrels for your pistols? Bahhh, I just buy new hosts with threaded barrels. This M&P and the Osprey were both bought at the same time, the M&P came as a package from S&W with threaded and normal barrel. It only took me about 120 days to finally get the trigger right on the M&P so its all good now
I am thinking about a lever gun in .44mag to use a host with subsonic rounds, then try to work up a good 100-150yd thumper round (think really heavy moving at about 1100fps... should be fun.

dont wait too long....they arent being made any more if I remember correctly.....and a-holes like me are starting to buy up the black mags that they find available.

I think there just calling it the FNX 45 Tactical now. Either one will work for me. Good idea on mags though, will start looking for them, I want one in FDE though.

I might have went with an FNP in FDE if I could have gotten a Osprey in FDE, but I was a bit late to that show. The other issue is that I saved about 500$ by not getting a FNP and going with a M&P which is really just saying I will buy one late anyway, but it made me feel better when I was buying both at once.

So when we having another silencer shoot? In a short period of time Leanman should have his TiRant, I'll have my 762SDN-6, and we will all need to see what toys Bret brings out to tempt us poor fools!
