This is relevant to my interests. I saw that they raised the entry fee to $10. It kinda bugs me, that it's the Military Arms Show, however they don't give a military discount. Every other show that I have went to has given a military discount. I'm cheap and have to save money where I can. What time are you planning on going? I have to work til 2 or 3 in the PM.

I'm trying to get out there on Saturday around noon. Have a Sig 522 to unload.

Lol. They had some surplus and Bersa there too! I did hit up St Charles last time and all I came home with a machete and upper receiver block.

We (me, wife & son) may head out there, depend on whether or not we want to drop $20 to peoplewatch and buy some jerky.

Anybody know if you can bring your own firearm up there to try and sell? I have a MP 40 im trying to sell. Im sure ill get low balled though but guess it don't hurt to try.

Yup, You see tons of folks walking in and out with rifles over their shoulder or in hand...

When you go inside after the ticket counter, but before the show entrance there will be a check in table with a few Sheiffs and or Deputys sitting there, they will check your weapon to make sure its unloaded and they will put a zip lock on it to hold it locked open..

You'd be supprised at how many Fuds leave a round in the chamber....

I got there super early 1 table had 2 M14 mags for $10 each I looked at them expecting Chinese Junk
Nope , I said I will take them. He said he had more Well lets see em . I walked away for $110.00 8 BRW SI, 2 HR-R,1 UHC and 1 R (A rarity) all USGI in great shape.I sold the BRW online in 3 hours made $130 profit and 4 free mags
I will be there bright and Early Saturday morning

I'm going to go and look for a Steyr GB, and maybe a Century C-93

Only think I'm really in the market for is Ammo (.22, 223.556, 9mm and .40) and magazines (Glock and Magpul) and I hardly ever find deals on any of those at Funshows....

I'm just hoping for a good price on powder and primers at this point. Yeah, a guy can dream, right? lol

How is Saturday morning looking for anybody. Maybe we could hit Dave & Busters for some lunch afterwards? Myself and thefreshman991 are planning on going....

Will be there Saturday morning. Going over to Cracker Barrel at 8 to meet up with some guys that I work with. Then we'll all head over maybe a few minutes after 9 to let the rush go in first. I dont think any of us are really wanting some rare this or that. Might not get anything gun related this time. But I am just getting into the RC Helicopter thing and will need some small tools. Might bump into a few of you all there.

I'll be the fat dude with the short beard and a black 'Do the Dew' hat and a black tshirt. I may or may not stand out. lol

Post up any after-action reports from the jerky show. I would have joined, but I'm at work in westport doing a power cutover in the server room. Might get done a bit early, so I might head over to the show if there are positive reports. Mostly looking for reloading components (pulled bullets, powder).

smullen, if you hit ARPC tomorrow, reply here as well. I'm going to try to take the Mosins out this afternoon to test some handloads, but I'm down to drag the ARs and M1A out tomorrow as well.

Just got back from the show with Lambo and the freshman.... Typical show, Some stuff getting inflated, not as bad as I expected, some stuff what I'd expect to see at Gun shows...

Plenty of stuff too look at... Plenty of ARs and accessories... I did not really see any large abundance of Reloading tables, but I did see some and I did see some guys carrying out jugs of powder.

Saw a few things I was interested in, but didn't have the money for... (to many other irons in the fire)

We essed with the ATF folks abit about Form 1s and some of the questions... Like the Overall length just to see what they would say...

Then they gave us some Form 1s that were photocopied and not double sided... I was like wait, these are copies that are not Double sided we can't send these in.. They'll get kicked back.

After the show, we went to Dave and Busters for some lunch and took an unscheduled bath... LOL...

When we pulled up, it was just sprinkling maybe a bit harder, so we waiting in the cars for 5-6 minutes getting impatient, then it started rainin a bit harder and then kept it up.. thefreshman, bolted in I figured it was set in and would be raining like this for awhile, so I was like Fvckit... I'll go... Hope out of the ride and started joggin for the door.... BAM, a fricken Monsoon came on... It rained and hailed so hard, I could not see where I was walking, I thought I was going to get hit by a car on the way... When we got in, I was wet to my drawers...

Didn't effect our appitites so we proceeded to get our grub on then played a few games...

So, while there was no great finds at the show and I did not get any new toys, it was pretty good time... Good Company. Much better than stayin home and playin MW3 or Surfin the interwebs...

I was told last night the one up on N. Lindbergh closed recently... Haven't seen it myself, but thats what I was told...

I was wanting too, but I was told I have plans tommorow since I got to go out and play all day today with the fellas...

I think it sucked this time. Very few vendors selling any AR parts or accessories whatsoever, unless you count the crappy Chinese crap. There was a table with jewelry, and another table with artsy/crafty wooden stuff included with a knife vendor's wares. But what really got me was a set of antique porcelain looking, hand mirror and beauty supply stuff. WTF? I didn't fucking pay $10 to see some fucker's antique shit he drug out of his grandmother's attic.

And the fudd tables. Arrrgg! There was an announcement over the PA system about a missing firearm. The announcer said a Glock 19 was missing, and was asking the dealers to notify them if anybody approached them trying to sell a Glock 19. Right after that, these two guys behind a table, while fondling their fudd looking firearms, got my attention when one of them said "I don't even know what a Glock 19 is!".

ETA: Sovereign Arms had a nice looking woman taking care of the raffle tickets.

welll....doesnt sound like I missed to much. I did get my bolt back for the Gillil today. Shot a couple hundred rounds through it and all is well.

What about cheap stripped lowers. the guy with the $59 lowers there? I've been thinking about picking one up and figuring out what I want to do with it later.

Thecheap lowers were not there. I did not make a purchase but would have got another Surplus Ammo & Arms lower if Kerri's Guns would have been there.

The surplus guns and ammo lowers are GTG. I have my slide fire stock set up on one everything works fine and is in spec. They look just like any other "normal" lower.

Yea thats the guys I was looking for too... I would have picked up atleast one if not two had they been there...

Same here... that's 90% why I went to the show in the first place. The only lowers I saw were $150 or more. Well... there were 2 Plum Crazy lowers, complete with stocks for ~ $130.

So, anyone see any deals on primers or powder or should I just call Hi-Tech on Monday?

I went yesterday. It's hard to imagine that much concentrated bullshit.

I'll probably go to another local show in a year or so.

Who knows if it will do any good, but I sent a complaint to info@stlweaponscollectors.com. If many of us do this, perhaps they'll see the light.

Edit, we should have an 'official' scope out thread for gun shows. Something like where ppl post what they want to see and then we send in like 1 "recon" person in to make sure its there. For 10+ bucks to get in, it sucks when what you want to pick up isn't there.

I sas 2 Colt Pythons that I thought were more that fair. Everything else Good God was not just a little over priced but more like your out of your mind.IE S&W 686 6" with a Hillary Hole and scratched to death for $825.

Got a box of Tula small rifle for $21, a .223 ammo can for $8.50, 100 pcs of 62 grain FMJ .223 pills ($12.50) and a AR brass catcher for $9. Almost bought some .223 clips for $.10 ea but most were missing at least one of the end springs and all were rusting. I'll just order some new ones.

I didn't feel ripped off but I should be ready to go to another gun show in June when it's back at teh Machineist Hall for $7.
