I tried out by Howell island (StL area) once or twice. Never caught anything but did lose a bunch of really big treble hooks.

How do you fix them?

If I wasn't going to the doctor I would be out tonight after work. I am sick as a dog and still debating going.

Well we snagged for about 5 hours and got three that would go about 40 pounds. I should have taken pics, but to be honest we usually catch more/bigger fish and I just didnt think I needed pics of the dinks

Ive been fixing mine two differnt ways here lately. One is to grind the meat and make them into pattys, but my new favorite way is to smoke them.

The white meat is the only decent part of a spoonbill.

My family likes it best marinated in Italian dressing and grilled. Season the heck out of it, as it is very dense meat. When cooked it has the consistency of a pork chop.
