Anyone know a good residential architect in the STL area?

I am looking to put a new deck on my house and would like somone design it first, rather than me just draw it out on a notepad. We're going to excavate underneath it, and build a storage area. I would like to have a 12x12 area extending futher out with a roof or pergola. It would be that hard if it wasn't on a hill, and that I'm trying to keep a path driveable down to the storage area underneath.

I cannot envision the change in grading as much as I try. If I rip the current deck of and have at it with a Bobcat, it would be easy......but I want this planned ahead of time so it is done in the least amount of time. I do not want any surprises. The guys I use are good, but better when they have a set of plans in front of them.

At this point, going with TigerDeck––a Brazilian hardwood similar to garapa or ipe/"epay". Any other suggestions? Not interested in PVC or composite.

I would go to a few local lumber yards (not big-box stores) and ask who they like to work with. Kinda like on this forum, opinions will come freely and with passion. You may not need an architect –– only a really good contractor. Of course, GET REFERENCES.
