Phew! Day 1 of Couch to 5k complete.
I started running this AM. I am getting ready to the 5k zombie obstacle course in August.
Please, sir, may I have some more?
Good on ya! I don't know your current fitness level but if you really are right off the couch I think you will be shocked at how quickly you improve.
Where is the zombie course at/ can I get a link for more info? This is the first I have heard of it.
August 18, Wright City, MO.

You get some neat swag if you run it.

My current fitness level is dismal. I haven't ran since I separated from the Army 3 years ago.
I currently am a 5'5" 178# tub of shit. I am going to changing that starting today.

That's no lie. Last year I decided to do a little running after not having done any since around high school. In two weeks my mile pace went from ten minutes to six minutes then I stopped due to some major knee issues. I need to start up again.

Thanks for the link. I'm going to check it out when I get to a PC.
That does look like a hoot. However, on the down side no pets, no weapons.
I think I may join you
I definetly need to get into some shape other than round...not sure if I'd be up to a 5k in Missouri in August. The only running I do in that weather is from my car to the A/C. ;)
I might have to volunteer instead. :)

Good for you! I downloaded the app on my phone but haven't started yet.

I'm in if you are. And save $10 by signing up by the 15th

.
Have you considered motorizing your couch?
My wife told me about this race too. I've started running as well. It's more about getting into better shape in general, but the thought of having zombies chase you is good motivation.
Ok...
Wife saw the run thing. Doesn't think I could do it. I don't know. Could be 110 in August. Could be 75.
Think I'll do it. I have really good life insurance.

You can do it.
Even if it is hotter than hell its only a 5k + the fun stuff.
I'm in! I'll post as soon as I get signed up for the 11:00. I gotta get funds released for this expenditure first so it may be a week or so.
Cool! I'm going to sign up for the 11:00 today. See ya there!
Bump..... been running?
yep, been following the schedule for the program. I am repeating week 1 because my legs are so out of shape, they stop before my lungs do

I will get there. I NEVER should have let myself get in this bad of shape.
Great program completed it a couple months ago youll get there just keep after it.

It happens

. Good for you for fixing the problem. If you really want to get in shape lifting is needed also....not some duchey body building stuff but simple strength building. If you're interested Google Starting Strength and /or Strong Lifts. Both are great programs but will need to be scaled back a bit because of all the running you are doing.
I'm doing c25k also...I have not been running very much in the last couple years...my calves are killing me!!!
