 Kansas City Missouri Gunsmith Schools?

Are there any gunsmithing schools in the KC metro area? I'm not looking for online / mail based.
I'm wanting to get hands on experience, even if there is a Gunsmith in the area that would take on an apprentice.

I'm not looking to start my own business or anything like that, just want to learn to possibly work for someone in the future / part time thing.

Trinidad would be my first choice with Murray as second. Murray being closest is really a default choice. Then again I hear good things about Murray machining classes.

Hands on, like an opportunity to play some in a real working shop with a smith who knows his stuff is priceless.

This is where I went back in the early 80's. It was pretty prestigious back then but not sure what it's like now.
If I remember right they had a Farrier class back then, too.

Well, I guess with the closest of all of those being 8.5 hours away, going to school for it is out.

Can you attend classes for a week at a time during the summer?

If so, check out the NRA summer gunsmithing classes at Trinidad, Lassen, Montgomery, and Murray.
