Anybody in STL area that can make a 9mm Spike's mag block permanent?
I posted this
thread awhile back looking for solutions to make a removable magwell block permanent. Now that I know it can be done, I'm curious if anybody here in the STL area might have some experience in that arena? I have my Spike's magwell block exactly where I want it, and I don't want to remove it. I want it permanent.
Steele Point Guns out in Troy might be able to do it. I have to go up there Saterday if you want a ride up that way if your free. I also live in the STL area.
Ping bwideman if he doesn't respond to this post.

Are you just wanting it pinned in the Colt SMG style with the three roll pins? If so, we would be able to do that for you. If you are interested, IM me and we can work out a price, and a time to drop off the lower. I've been burning the candle at both ends, so I'm going to bed and crashing, but I'll respond tomorrow after I come out of my coma

I'd call Mike Klos at the New Melle Gun Shop. It's a bit of a drive from St. Louis city, but Mike is a true artist and I'm sure he could handle it.

Here is gerfungerpoken's AR all finished. We were able to pin it so that the original friction locks remained fully functional. It was drilled undersize and then finish reamed to the proper size, and stainless steel roll pins were inserted.

You missed the bulls eye
Jk. Looks good and no drill bit trails

Yeah, I know. I wanted to put it through the little star between the S in Surplus and the A in Ammo, but it wouldn't work. I hope there are no drill skips

It was done in a custom fixture in a Haas VMC, we really try to do things with the right tool for the job. It definitely costs more sometimes, but we want to put out quality work.
WTF are we doing on arfcom at 930 on a Friday night. Getting old is some bull shit I tell ya

Hell I was up until midnight last night running engravings, cutting barrels, and doing the work above. Sitting on my ass is one hell of a pleasure sometimes. Plus I got to cook some food on the Egg and play with the kids, so it's been a good night! Sometimes I miss the staying up all night partying, but then I have nights like tonight, and it is all put in perspective. Plus I don't hurt as much the next morning

That ain't no shit. I just duracoated a pistol and some mags so its been a good night here too....well we will see in the morning how good it was....
