I saw this posted on a local forum. I know we have a few NOPD members here. Hope all is well. At least they permanently dealt with the shooter.
What I can't understand, for the life of me, is the girlfriend of the suspect wanting to question the tactics of the NOPD. What I would like to axe her is why her "boyfriend" got out of a car and started shooting at 2 police officers. On the other hand, I don't understand why the cops weren't wearing protective vests....if this is so, do they think they are invincible or supermen? A .380 strike, as they found out the hard way, will just about do you in. Wearing a vest would definitely not have hurt as bad. Just my thoughts on the matter.
From some of the comments I've seen, it sounded like some elect not to wear it because it gets too hot. No way in hell I'd work as NOPD and NOT wear one.

Yeah, the popular allegations seem to be that A) two officers would shoot themselves in, respectively, the testicles, rectum, colon, and small intestine, and in the liver, kidney, and spine, just to cover up a bad shoot. Another allegation popular on the black radio talk shows is that there is no such thing as a .380 that can hold 14 rounds, so the N.O.P.D. made all that up.
