I just got the call from Hoover schools. They are letting out early for weather reasons.
Is it going to get bad here? Radar just doesn't look that bad.
later this evening, last i heard was between 6 pm - 2 am. We already have people bailing.
I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous. If the weather was coming in at Noon, then fine. But all models in Central AL (read Birmingham, Hoover, 280) show at the EARLIEST 4pm. No need for my kids school to be cutting loose at noon. Friggin' ridiculous.

I agree. I just busted ass to get done installing two front hubs, both set of front pads and both rear discs and pads on my truck at my shop so I could get home in time to meet the kids.
Granted this is the same school system that had my kid going to school last spring when the tornados actually damaged the school roof only to have us all come get them an hour later.
Sometimes all the Schoolmessenger automation takes the common sense out of school admins.
