Gun laws that pertain to those 18-21 yrs old?

I may be spending a few months in the Baltimore area soon and was just wondering if there are any laws different if your 19 yrs old aside from buying pistols, such as can I even own a pistol? What about AR's? I'll be finished building my first AR this Christmas and would prefer not to have to leave it down here in NC with my folks and spend all my down time just fishing (on that note is there some good fishing spots I should know about? Obviously theres a huge body of water right off the coast, but yeh). Will I be able to bring my shotgun or hunting rifle across the state line?

People under 21 are prohibited from possessing Regulated firearms in Md. All handguns and most ARs are a regulated firearm. ARs with a HB profile are not regulated.
There's a few exceptions, Active duty, under the supervision of a person over 21, using it for self defense.
For the specifics see the second post in Transporting thread at the top.
The shotgun and hunting rifle should be ok, just note that they must be unloaded when in a vehicle.
