...anything open worth seeing on Christmas day? Hotel recommendations? Any secret cool local type places to check out? Any help would be great thanks.

Even downtown isn't safe. What types of things are you into? I imagine Fells Point, Canton and Fed Hill will be a goood time.

If it were me.....
I would stay at the Admiral Fell Inn in Fell's Point and spend all day at Max's Taphouse trying to get as far through the beer menu as possible.
But, that would be me.......

Fells Point is a good bet.....there are tons of bars and restaurants there.

The "James Brown" is a sure crowd pleaser but if you are looking for a real good time, head over to the West Side and try some "Sudden Death".

stay out of the harbor when it gets dark.... that was scary
