 Transporting guns to MD

Ok this is probably going to sound a little weird but my ex-gf called me the other day and informed me that her dad would like to go shooting with me on their farm in the Cumberland area. Obviously her and I didn't get along. However her father and I got along great.

Now on to my actual question(s). I have a couple AK's, an AR, assorted other long guns, and 8-10 pistols. All of the magazine fed firearms have only hi-cap magazines. Would I have any issues if I were to bring any of these firearms into Maryland? What are the laws concerning transporting of so many firearms? Last time I was there I was ignorant of MD's transport laws and transported my pistol the same way I do in DE. Which is to say there was a round chambered and the mag topped off sitting on the passenger seat in plain view. However after reading here and being a little wiser I have found that if anything had happened I would have been in a lot of trouble with the law to say the least.

Thanks in advance.

Rifle/Shotgun OK; SBR/SBS/Pistol NOT OK*.

Magazines are not banned, so you can bring them in.

* You could argue that you are transporting for informal target shoot, but honestly I wouldn't want to try my luck on the side of the road.
Some guy was headed out of town here in Waldorf a several years ago and got pulled over with a van load of firearms. He didn't have a good day that day.

I'd say if you have a email from your host inviting you to come and shoot on his property, you might be ok bringing a handgun into the state (Not a Lawyer!).

Ex GF and a farm? It's a trap! You'll never be found in those woods.

That news article is the last thing that I would want to happen. It would just validate everything that my parents have ever said about my collecting.

I think what I'm going to do is take a trip to the police barracks next time I'm heading to the Cecil County Dragway and see what they have to say.

And Enfield that was the first thought that ran through my head. Haha.

a few things dont make since in the artical.
In the first sintance they say the trouper "when he observed a Chevrolet Van traveling in front of him with expired registration" , Then in the last part of the second sentance they say "inside the vehicle that she should be concerned about" Is the officer a man or woman?

The firearms where listed in a case with empty magazinbes and the ammo in a seperate compartment of the van This is the way they are to be transported in MD.

A firearm in a cosed case doesnt give "A probable cause" to search the van, now if the weapons where out in the open and not being transported per MD laws that is a diffrent story.

several years ago I was on bumpy oak road in brians road when I was pulled over by a MD state police officer. I told the officer I had a pistol in the back seat in a case, The officer steped back unsnaped his side arm looked at me and in the back of my car (trough the window) resnaped his side arm and said he is worried about it.
