thinking about a second home, need some info
We are lloking into buying a second home like a vaction home. we were looking at the rehobeth beach area in DE. Anyone have any ideas on the area as far as homes.
also any good beach areas on the eatern side of MD around chesepeake bay that would be a good area. We are looking for a family friendly area. any help would be great thanks
you looking for the bay side or ocean side? DE is going to be ocean but then you asked about the bay so which you looking for?
Eastern Shore is a better bet, price-wise. Also, your chances of affording anything waterfront increase dramatically.
If you must go Delaware, Lewes can be done for under a quarter mil, and that's probably your best bet. Contacting a real estate broker in the area will help.
Eastern Shore, you get a lot more for your money, but it's not as populated. You may want that (I would), but a lot of people want shopping, retaurants, etc. when they're on vacation. Not me, but to each their own.
You can also buy a boat. A 35' class boat will do up to 10 people just fine for a week if you're friendly and cost a lot less than real estate. Boat ownership, however, comes with some serious upkeep costs.
Personally, unless I can shoot on it, I don't need a second property.
we were looking around lewis area, even new home communities.
maryland I don't know much about but most likely the eastern side which backs up to DE is the area which I would like to know more about.
then thats the Ocean City/Ocean Pines area. you can look between Salisbury and OC north. lot of nice areas there even though its the peoples republic. LOL. Selbyvill is a nice area between OC and Lewis. pretty much anywhere in lower De is nice. not sure on how much your going to spend though. i could look around if you want, to give you an idea of price range. let me know what your looking for.
