I am taking a road trip from PA to DE. How are pistols / ammo / mags to be transported according to the law?

Thank you

Are you asking the Maryland guys or the Delaware guys. My suggestion is to avoid the "Free State".

Unless you have a CCW. unloaded and separated. Out of hands reach.

This is very imporant. A PA or DE CCW isn't worth the paper it's printed on here in MD. Just keep the firearms unloaded and out of reach.

Safe bet is always to abide by FOPA unless you have a carry permit for the states you are going to be in. If you know and follow FOPA, you never have to wonder.

Google is your friend. The Firearm Owner Protection Act (FOPA) protects you IF you follow its transportation and storage guidelines even when traveling through the most gun unfriendly states. Every single gun owner who moves or travels between states absolutely needs to be familiar with FOPA.
