You didn't miss much. Another silly thread that deteriorated into a discussion about how if you don't get the absolute BEST training possible, you are somehow unfit to own or carry a firearm - regardless of what the Bill of Rights says. Complacency kills and that sort of thing. Thread sat stagnant for 2 weeks or so, then had a sudden flare up. Internet-Dad came along with a typical 19-page tirade about something or other and gave everyone a stern talking-to. Then returned and claimed that folks were suggesting illegal activities and deleted the whole thread.

Just another day on the MN hometown forum.

Internet Dad posted four fucking paragraphs explaining why the STATE Law - though not technically RIGHT, does usurp the Bill of Rights.

Don't like it - work hard trying to change it.

A.D.D. People that can't focus long enough to read more than 6 sentences didn't grasp the fact that implying that the ONLY thing needed to legally carry is the US Constitution - is implying that people shouldn't abide by the STATE Law.

While that's the way it SHOULD be - that's not the way the PRESENT real world works - to imply / suggest otherwise is to suggest unlawful activities.

When a certain couple people didn't catch the hint that the thread flew WAY the hell off topic, further argument ensued, and I trashed it.

Don't like it? Keep threads more on topic.

Don't like the current law of the land?

Do something about it - but don't imply that people should just "Constitutional Carry"...

I don't think its RIGHT any more than you do.

I don't think we need anything other than the Bill of Rights either.

Though that's not the current situation we encounter with our present Legal System with which we must abide.

FYI - I posted all this in two posts with 6 Sentences each for the TL:DR / A.D.D. Kiddies.
